Study on Speech Signal Processing for Cochlear Implants Based on DSP

This paper introduces the working principle of cochlear implants, and its continuous interleave sampling (ClS)speech signal processing method, presents the design of the electronic circuit and the flow chart of software programming. A computer-based acoustic simulation method is used to simulate and synthesize the speech signals processed by DSP. The experimental result shows that the synthesis speech signal is similar to the original speech signal in its frequency envelope.
