Experimental Analysis of Misreading in the Process of Acceptance
Yao De-ping · Journal of Huaiyin Teachers College · 2000
During the process of text acceptance, the acceptor may understand or misunderstand the text. Misunderstanding falls into two types here: developing misunderstanding and distortional misunderstanding. The former can benefit the comprehension of the work while the latter may lead to far-fetched cognition, evaluation and even distortion. Moreover, there are two kinds of distortional misunderstanding: the conscious one and the unconscious one. Therefore, we should clearly distinguish reasonable comprehension and misreading, calling for developing misunderstanding while objecting to distotional misunder- standing, especially the conscious one.
