A new image retrieval method using both color and texture features

This paper presents a new retrieval algorithm which combines HSV color histogram and Gabor wavelets.This algorithm makes use of color information which describes the global color information,and also the texture features which describe local spacal information,avoiding the unilateralism.The experiments based on Corel database show that the algorithm can achieve a better performance.
