Research on low overlapping image stitching based on ASIFT image matching algorithm

In order to solve the problem that the usual SIFT image matching algorithm causes the image stitching difficult,When the degree of overlap of two pictures is low,the method of low overlapping image stitching based on ASIFT image matching algorithm is presented.Compared with SIFT image matching algorithm,ASIFT image matching algorithm can detect more feature points,and has higher precision of matching.Based on the characteristics of the ASIFT,the method adopts ASIFT image matching algorithm to detect and match feature points,and image stitching is carried out by using the results.The experiments show that a good stitching result can be achieved by this method when the degree of overlap of pictures is very low.
