Application of Mscomm and C in serial communication between computer supervisory control system and intelligent instrument

This paper discussed a way to make serial communication with RS232 serial port between computer superior control system designed by WinCC and intelligent instrument constructed by 8051 single chip (compu-)(ter). At first, the paper expatiated the method of how to use Mscomm.ocx to input the data of intelligent instrument into computer through RS232. Then the data was stored in the form of binary file from which those data could be assigned to internal tag of WinCC following the running of a certain C program file. Finally, the data from intelligent instrument could be incorporated in the computer supervisory control system.
