Critical Safety Speed and Its Application Research on Risk Characteristic Section of Expressway Tunnel(Tunnel Group)

Considering the variation rule of traffic risk characteristic of the expressway tunnel (tunnel group),the division of tunnel(tunnel group) space segment was carried out,6 typical risk characteristics sections were put forward.According to the brake risk model,the risk factors of tunnel(tunnel group),such as the initial velocity,the driver reaction time,the friction coefficient and the longitudinal gradient were analyzed and values of different types of tunnel lengths,different time,different road surface types and different disastrous weathers were proposed.The critical safety speeds of risk characteristics sections were calculated and compared in free drive status and car-following status.Then the critical safety speed was given.Results show that the proposed critical safety speed of tunnel(tunnel group) risk characteristics sections can provide a theoretical basis for tunnel safety management.
