The Inpainting Model by Cahn-Hilliard Equation with Nonlocal Term

Liu Guilan · Journal of Shanxi Datong University · 2009

Image inpainting refers to restoring the information of the damaged region in the image or remove the unnecessary object in the image. The inpainting modal based on Cahn-Hilliard equation can inpaint the damaged regions simplify, quickly and effectively, but weak to preserve the edge information. Propose an improved schema, which uses a model basing on Cahn-Hilliard equation with nonlocal term to preserve the edge. The simulation shows that the method can eliminate noise perfectly and keep the edge characteristic of the image nicely.
