In view of the high speed distributed seismic exploration demand for multi-node RS485 and Ethernet connection. This paper adopts the physical layer of Ethernet integration chip DP83848 and STM32 micro controller to design a low-cost high-speed Ethernet and RS485 gateway. It uses switch time-sharing and with the front-back programming to optimize the RS485 and TCP/IP protocol stack to improve operation efficiency. The test shows that the gateway can achieve 2 M RS485 network and 100 M Ethernet connectivity. Signal gateway can be connected seismic channel number more than 100 channels when the acquisition node was 24 bit 1 kb/s sampling rate of digital geophone.
