Research of image compression based on DCT

With a unique advantage in image compression coding,DCT has been widely promoted and applied.System of JPEG is introduced based on DCT and one-dimensional and two-dimensional DCT pros and their coefficient band before and after the distribution are analyzed from a mathematical point of view.Simulation id made by using MATLAB simulation software,based on the FFT algorithm and DCT matrix indirect algorithm,the results show that DCT has a good effect of flexibility,simplicity and image compression.Finally,we propose solution of blocking effect.
