Calculation of volume for diamond grains based on image processing

The measurement of volume for diamond grains is an important indicator of its performance.In view of the above situation,a measuring method is proposed.Through the technique of digital image recognition,the parameters which are established model.According to parameters the multiple linear regression model about flatness is established.Then the volume of similar type of crystal can be estimated.The goodness of fit chi-square test is introduced in detail.The results show that the method is feasible.Compared with true value the error is smaller.So the method provides a new way for the calculation of volume of diamond grains.
