The Repair of Lightning Struck Fiber-Optic Cable and the Lightning Prevention of Base-Station

The fiber optic cable failure caused by lightning strike and its repair process is described in detail,the cable is an interconnection fiber optic cable used in a base-station.The reasons of the failure are deeply analyzed,it is pointed out that it is the problems existed in base-station design,installation construction,lightning prevention measures,fiber optic cable choice that lead to the occurrence of the failure.Some suggestions are proposed to prevent same kind of troubles with occurrence,so as to offer reference for future practical work.
