Adaptive Packetization of MPEG-4 Visual Stream in Wireless Transmission

When the MPEG-4 visual stream is transferred in wireless channel,the visual data must be in accordance with certain structure for better error control when the bit error happens.The grouping of the payload of the visual data according to certain structure is called as packetization.The model of the packetization is analyzed and an algorithm of adaptive packetization based on both encapsulation efficiency and video quality is proposed.Experiments using real-time transport protocol over GPRS(general packet radio services)network are used to validate the analysis of the most efficient scheme.
