XML technology is applied to the practical system of OLAP.Because of the shortage of saving OLAP meta-data in traditional database way,XML is a coherence data modal and description language in managing (OLAP) meta-data.It is possible to normalize the descripiton of OLAP meta-data on syntax specification. At the same time,XML's semantic character better shows the semantic and hierarchical character of OLAP system meta-data.
