A level set method with global and local information for medical image segmentation

In order to ameliorate the medical imaging accompanied by weak boundary and intensity inhomogeneity,an improved variational level set image segmentation method was proposed.This method established a certain sensitivity model by fusing the global and local image information.This model by regulating the global and local weighting coefficient can effectively segment the intensity inhomogeneity.The experimental results show that this method has good segmentation results and higher accuracy for weak boundary and intensity inhomogeneity,and it is robust to the contour initialization.
