Sequence Analysis of mtDNA Gene and Genetic Differentiation in Geographic Populations of Trichogramma ostriniae

Jing Li · Journal of Biological Control · 2011

Genetic differentiation among geographic populations of Trichogramma ostriniae was estimated by analyzing sequences of mitochondrial COI,COII and Cytb gene fragments.High nucleotide diversity was observed and genetic differentiation occurred among T.ostriniae populations to different extent.Tajima's D and Fu's Fs neutrality test indicated that molecular evolution of T.ostriniae species was in conformity with the principle of neutral theory, and the populations probably have experienced an expansion.Pairwise genetic distance between populations of T.ostriniae was within the range of 0.002-0.020.Cluster of phylogenic tree and results of Mantel analysis revealed that there was no significant correlation between genetic distance and geographical distance in populations of T.ostriniae.
