Channel Estimation Algorithm Utilizing Correlation in Time-Domain for MIMO-OFDM Systems

A channel estimation algorithm was proposed for multiple input multiple output-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) systems.The special design for pilot symbols and theory for the channel estimation algorithm were given in great detail,and the mean-square-error (MSE) performance and complexity of the algorithm were analyzed.The algorithm could bring excellent estimation precision when information of channel multi-path delay was known exactly or inaccurately,and it could guarantee system performance.The algorithm was applied in beyond 3G-time division duplex (B3G-TDD) system and simulation was carried out under both indoor and outdoor environments.The results of MSE and bit error rate performance show the effect of the algorithm.This algorithm can improve system robustness greatly.
