Method for solving the synchronization of merging unit in electronic transducer

The merging unit,the important interface between the electronic transducer and secondary protection and measurement device,is introduced and its main function is also discussed.Through analyzing the synchronization problem which exists in the merging unit,this paper expatiates on the demand of the synchronization according the international standards,then proposes a new method for solving this problem using complex programmable logic device(CPLD).CPLD have the advantages of high running speed and many I/O ports.Combining the inside program coded by very high speed integrated circuit hardware description language(VHDL),this method can quickly realize the synchronization of the merging unit.With analysing the simulation and the practical test,it proves that the method is feasible and has good applied worthiness.
