An Intelligent Tutoring System Oriented on Semantic Web

Intelligent Tutoring Systems(ITS) have being extensively researched.After discussing characteristic and disadvantage of ITS,a model of intelligent tutoring systems oriented on the semantic web is proposed.The components of this model are introduced.Domain ontologies are used to express the teaching knowledge,and the Web Crawlers are used to acquire new information from World Wide Web in this model.As a result,the adaptability of the intelligent tutoring systems is enhanced.
