Realization of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with Hyper-Threading Based on Scheduling Domain

Since Linux 2.4 has supported Symmetrical Multi-Processing structure,Linux operating system's developers have been trying to find the way which can make the effectiveness of multi-processor better.Strengthening the capacity of Hyper-Threading is one of the basic solutions.Therefore,it is very important for analysis the realization of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with hyper-threading.This paper analyzes the implementation mechanism of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with hyper-threading based on scheduling domain,through reading the kernel code.Finally this paper compares and testes two versions of the kernel(one has scheduling domain structure,the other doesn't have).By comparison,the performance of Symmetrical Multi-Processor with hyper-threading based on scheduling domain is better.
