Several Means of Realizing High-order FIR Filter Structures for FPGA

Several structures for FPGA implementation of highorder FIR filter are carefully analyzed in this paper.And the comparisons among different structures are focused on the usage of logic resources,the merits and defects of each method.Finally,an optimized direct-form structure is proposed and recommended for FPGA implementation of high-order FIR filter.An example of 256-order SRRC filter with roll-off factor of 0.05 is used to verify the resource analysis of different FPGA implementation.
