The effect of oxygen cold plasma treatement on surface wettability of poplar veneers

This paper investigated the effect of oxygen cold plasma treatment on the surface wettability of poplar veneer. The results show that the oxygen cold plasma treatment can improve the veneer surface wettability significantly.The surface contact angle dropped 70%～80%and the surface free energy increased 200%～400%.Optimized processing conditions are with power of 200w and treatment time of 3min.
