Efficient Algorithm to Tracing Nodes of Equivalent Depth Based on Topology of Triangles

With the application of multi-beam sounding system in bathymetric survey for port engineering,it turns to be urgent to plot the bathymetric contour efficiently for the multiplied quantity of bathymetric data.This paper proposes an efficient algorithm to trace nodes of equivalent depth based on topology of triangles.By using the topology among triangles to find a node of equivalent depth in adjacent triangles,this algorithm overcomes the drawback of traditional algorithm which needs to scan all the triangles.The experiment result proves that this proposed algorithm is more efficient than traditional one.
