Method of real-time covert communication of streaming media based on DES encryption and its hardware implementation

In order to satisfy the demands of real-time covert communication, a kind of data hiding method of streaming media based on DES encryption and its hardware implementation are given. The proposed scheme can embed as many as 2L bits of streaming media data by changing, at most, L bits in the (2L+1)bits of cover data. The algorithm can reach a higher level of safety because the two levels of encryption is adopted. Simulation and testing results show that the design can generally satisfy the demands of real-time covert communication of streaming media. The proposed method can be applied to secure communications effectively.
