Design of Low-Voltage Low-Power of Σ-D Modulator for Wireless Applications

Ning Wang · Microelectronics & Computer · 2006

The design of low-voltage low-power Σ-Δ Analog-to-Digital converter for wireless communication is presented in this paper. Top-down methodology is used and described. The OTA proposed remarkably reduces the static power dissipation of the converter. Results of behavior simulation including OTA non-ideality verify that the modulator achieves 200 KHz signal bandwidth, peak SNR and dynamic range are 93.5 dB and 96.3 dB, which meets GSM/PCS1800/DCS1900 applications.
