Design of collaborative workflow system based on finite state machine model

The collaborative workflow technology is studied as an effective way to build CSCW systems.Instanced in a teaching management system,a practicable way to model,design and implement collaborative workflow system based on Finite State Machine model is presented.The features of collaborative workflow are analyzed.The design strategies and implementation methods of workflow engine are described.The result shows that a model based on machine,a lightweight design scheme and the state design pattern can improve the development efficiency of such kind of workflow systems and reduce the complexity.
