A method to extract the pattern from background based on visual attention model

Because of the shortage of the extracting the background pattern by men in tradition,a method to extract the pattern from background based on visual attention model is presented.First the saliency area in the background image is ascertained according to the Itti saliency map model;then some attention vision focus are found and they are used as the seed to do region growing in the image;at last the pattern is extracted from background according to the rule.The experimental results show that this method can exactly find the saliency pattern in background image,and it also makes the farther pattern analysis be possible.
