A Filtering Algorithm Based on Grey Correlative Degree for Salt-Pepper Noise Images

Aimed at resolving the problems of the median filter algorithm in enhancing the PSNR with limits and remaining the details of a picture imperfectly,a two-step denoising method with double threshold based on grey correlative degree is presented.The first step is to discriminate the polluted pixels by a contrasting between all the correlative degrees and threshold T1.The second step is to choosethe very grey-correlative pixel to recover the polluted by a comparing between all the correlative degrees and soft threshold T2(median).The experimental result shows that this proposed algorithm could effectively improve PSNR and subjective effects of a picture under the conditions of high noise.
