Traffic Incident Detection Based on the Prediction Diviation

Freeway incident detection is a crucial component of traffic management and control.A new algorithm has been proposed in this paper based on the prediction diviation of short-term traffic flow forecast.This method make a dynamic forecasting of three main parameters of traffic flow,traffic volume,spot speed and time occupancy,do a statistical analysis of the forecasting diviation.Expatiated the process of incident detection and the probability computing.There isn't constraint of detecte place and time,so it is transplantable,that's an aidant for the govement manager to make dicisions.
