Design of audio player based on EPG3231 and Flash Memory

A relatively simple way to use large-capacity NAND Flash memory in MCU system is presented.Compared with the general program,programmers should not master the specification of computer file system but follow the timing sequence of the NAND Flash’s reading,writing and erasing,as if the NAND Flash is NOR Flash or SRAM.So the physical address of memory was transparent to the programmer,only in the event of bad blocks that could be skipped.This method reduces the difficulty and cost on using the NAND Flash memory,and applies not only to EPG3231,but also can be extended to the general use of 8-bit MCU systems.
