Improved Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm

Focusing on the typical fast motion estimation algorithms without consideration on other characteristics of H.264/AVC,this paper introduces an improved fast motion estimation algorithm.In this algorithm,integer transform and motion vector predictor,search range,reference frame and the relativity of coding block modes are thought together.Experimental results show that it can save more encoding time while maintaining coding efficiency.
