The Experimental Study on Influence of Relay and Decathlon on Multi-group Idea-generation

This paper studied the influence of using different organizing ways,decathlon and relay,on multi-group decision-making.The experimental study used 100 single groups which were composed of the university management students as experiment subjects.The group size is 3.They generated ideas to improve an enterprise's logistics.From the study we found that there was no significant influence of the decision-making ways on the quantity of the nominal ideas but the relay prior to the decathlon referring to both of the quantity and the quality of the unique ideas.Moreover we found that there were some shortages in the relay in the experiment process.
