A Review of the Study of the Criteria in Determining Compound-words

In the modern Chinese language,we find it difficult to distinguish a compound-word from a phrase because the structure relations of compound-words and phrases are almost the same,owing to which to confirm the identity of a word has become a problem.However,some criteria,such as syntax,semantics,phonology and so on are often used to identify a word.But we must comprehensively use these criteria so as to confirm a word correctly.
