Object-Relational Mapping in Extended UML Modeling Environments

Many applications use the object-oriented structures and need persist organization—relational databases to restore and retrieve data. There is an impedance mismatch between object and relational technology.Using UML can overcome this impedance mismatch. But UML is weak for transformation between them.A new technique that introduces extended object diagram to depict this transformation is proposed in this paper.It simplifies the steps of transformation,improves its automation.
