General Situation and Development Priority of Waxy Corn Breeding in China

Waxy corn was originated from China,the germplasm resources is rich.The waxy corn breeding had achieved a great progress in China in the latest twenty years.We took in-depth analysis in the situation of waxy corn,and pointed out development direction and priority of waxy corn,we should take important point in the study of maize germplasm,high and new technology in breeding,genetic character interrelated to marketable value,high-quality breeding;work out breeding goals reasonably,and focus on the industry development of waxy corn.
