A Fuzzy Knowledge Representation and Reasoning Model for Expert System Applying to Design

According to fuzzy knowledge characteristics in design field, a new method using fuzzy variable to represent fuzzy knowledge is brought forward in this paper. Every fuzzy variable consists of a series of fuzzy subsets and a fuzzy vector. The fuzzy vector is used to describe these series of fuzzy subset membership function. Based on these, a fuzzy reasoning model is put forward. This knowledge representation method uses uniform pattern and is rather flexible,spread feasible and easy to implement. And it provides a very good approach to deal with fuzzy knowledge in expert system tool applying to design.
