Essential Methods and Progress of Information Fusion Theory

This paper presents a statistical analysis on international annual meetings and international academic periodicals of nearly hundred kinds in the past few years. It also summarizes the application distribution situation of information fusion in the military and civil fields, the percentage of different mathematic tools and research approaches adopted, the models of fusion system, information fusion algorithms and the development tendency, existing problems, and how to solve these problems.
