An Analysis of the Nominalization of Legislative Texts in English

The texts of legal English are generally featured with nominalization.This paper intends to employ some typical examples to discuss the nominalization of legislative texts in English,which is featured with traceability in morphology,enlargement in its amount of information and its density,and Abstraction in its presentation.In certain situation,nominalization even features the legislative language with re-concrete presentation.Such research can better help people master the characteristics of legal English.
