Optimization of Ballast Plan Based on Interior-point Method in Barge for Load-out

With the practical experience and the geometric features of the water ballast tank of barge,an optimization algorithm model based on linear programming for ballast plan in barge of load-out is developed in this article.Following the principle of statical equilibrium,the model takes the minimization of the total adjusted water weight as the objective function and the adjusted water weight of the water ballast tank as the design variables.For solving the model,the interior-point method is put into use.The numerical experimental results show that the method is convergent,effective and fast,and can satisfy the demand of real-time control.
