Simplified Design of RF Front-end for WCDMA_ GSM Seven-band Mobile Phones

This paper introduces a simplified design of RF circuits of WCDMA_ GSM dual-mode seven-band mobile phone based on the SP4T antenna switch through analysing the typical architecture by SP9T antenna switch.This design reduces the cost and components area greatly and also promises the performance.Test result shows all RF performances of this design including transmit power,sensitivity,PVT,frequency error,phase error,modulation spectrum and switching spectrum are consistent with the 3GPP communication standard,and the design can realize WCDMA and GSM seven bands communication.This design has been successfully applied in mobile phone development.
