Research on software re-engineering

The concept of software re-engineering is proposed owing to the updating and substitution of the software systems.Now,the requirements of users are changed constantly and the complexity is improving,software maintenance is becoming more and more difficult,which promotes the development of software re-engineering.Emphasizing particularly on the concept,the goal,the type andthe current difficulties,the corresponding model of software re-engineering was brought forward.Especially,the general re-engineering models of structured system and object-oriented system were provided.
