Data fusion scheme based on matrix for WSNs

Data fusion is an important means to reduce energy consumption of wireless sensor networks( WSNs),and in order to save energy of WSNs nodes,a layer-cluster data fusion scheme based on matrix theory is proposed. Residual energy and relative density of nodes are considered in election of cluster head,besides,datas collected by cluster member nodes are fused by using matrix operations respectively. At last,this new scheme is compared with traditional LEACH protocol,and experimental results show that compared with traditional LEACH protocol,the proposed scheme can effectively reduce data redundancy and amount of data transmission,save energy consumption of nodes and thereby extend lifetime of network.
