Theoretical Analysis and Practice of Rational Width of Chain Pillar

The rational width remained to the chain pillar is directly related to the safe production of the working face.In this paper,the theoretical width to be remained to the chain pillar was calculated with the empirical formula,the distribution law of the bearing pressure in different coal pillar width was analyzed according to the site measurement,and the actual width of the chain pillar was obtained by using the elastic core theory.Based on the theoretical calculation and the field measurement,it came to the conclusion that the rational width of the chain pillar is 15 m.
