The Chaotic Character of Spring Discharge in Hotan Prefecture and its Forecasting

In this paper,the power spectrum analysis and chaotic theory were applied to identify the chaotic characteristic of No.12 spring discharge in Hotan,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.The results show that the spring has a chaotic character.On this basis,a better forecasting result was obtained by using the modified maximum lyapunov exponential model.This method can provide a new way for research and reasonable development of groundwater resources in arid areas.
