Design on Extending Serial Ports Based on Serial Peripheral Interface

Serial Communication is widely used in civil communication and military communication fields,and the serial interface is lack in processor,so the extending serial ports are needed to meet the requirements.The paper introduces system design based on SPI,then the structure of hardware,the design of software are depicted in detail,and focusing on the problems occurring in the design.The test result shows that the design can satisfy the requirement for transmission of serial data and has reliable performance.
