Novel Method for Automatic Target Recognition Based on High Resolution Range Profiles

The paper introduces a novel method for joint range alignment and automatic target recognition(ATR),which is based on high range resolution profiles.Combined with power trans-formation,the new approach can significantly improve the ATR performance.The data ob tained from experiments conducted on8types of radar targeting demonstrate the excellent perfor-mance of the proposed method.
