Gang Wang · Journal of Inner Mongolia University of Technology · 2007
The computer room environment, network service status, cable connectivity and network performance constitute utmost concerns of network administrative personnel. With a view to monitoring all these cases,a comprehensive monitor system is designed and established. It is the first time that the information of the computer room environment, network service status, cable link status and performance is integrated into one single system. An alarm can be given in time by way of user-defined alarming policy, such as giving acoustic signals or optical signals, delivering email or sending cell phone messages. This system can fully meet the requirements of network running and maintenance.A description is given to the architecture of the system and the key module that is implemented by use of object-oriented technology. The effect of the system′s work in the real network environment is summarized.
