Performance Analysis of MAN Backbone Net Traffic

In recent years many measurements have shown that the real net traffic has self-similarity over several time scales. In this paper, we discuss the distributing properties and self-similarity of XI'AN MAN backbone network.. The experiment result has shown that normal distributing matches the backbone traffic better than others, and has found that the left-tail (right-tail) of backbone traffic is shorter (longer) than that of normal distributing , that is to say, the backbone distributing is righter than normal distributing.
