Study and Development of LDPC Coding

Digital Communication is widely used in many areas, such as political, military, commercial and so on. As a result, the data reliability should be increasingly improved. After Shannon’s publisment of his famous Shannon Theory, the people have made great effort to find a better Error Control Coding whose performance is approaching to Shannon Limit. This paper describes the structure of a special linear block code——LDPC. Then it summarizes some common coding principles of LDPC and shows the current application and development trend for LDPC.
