Analysis on the factors influencing the fractal image coding algorithm performance

In order to achieve a good velocity for fractal image compression,this paper analyzes and studies a quadtree arithmetic fractal image coding and suggests a region-based transformation that extends the block-based scheme. This method can achieve a higher velocity of the coding because of less searching and can procure a good compression effect.
