WBEM-Based IP Network Management Design and Implementation
Zhao Jin-fang · Science Technology and Engineering · 2008
WBEM(Web-Based Enterprise Management) is a very versatile and generalized standard for distributed management. It provides the methods of unifying many different management domains, including SNMP-dominated IP network management. The paper discusses the way about how to represent the managed object in the IP network by using CIM, and construct the management system by using Microsoft WMI Infrastructure. Finally, the approach to accessing and manipulating the managed objects in the IP network is proposed.
